Jaguar F-Type Conundrums
You finally found us… A firm that can repair F-Type convertible roof mechanisms.
Currently JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) have proven to be somewhat unsuccessful with the repair of these mechanisms. I personally have nothing against JLR vehicles. In fact, I love them and the way they drive, the charisma that German manufactures seem to lack. Unfortunately, Jaguar have yet to design a way of opening the roof manually on an F-Type roof system. It is simple enough to get the roof closed however what to do when it is locked solid and the frame needs to be removed to replace the motors? Fortunately we have developed a way of opening the roof manually, even if your motors have seized because of flooding blocked drains onto the motors/modules (let’s not get into that witchcraft). But yes, it is absolutely possible and your current dramas will be short lived.
It is usually the case that we also have to replace the wiring harness from the motor, this will become apparent once the frame is removed. There is an additional cost for this from JLR so we will do our best to keep you in the loop once we have removed the frame from the vehicle.
